I totally agree about the slapping. Especially in the beginning. But the book saved itself just in time, don’t you think?

You should DEFINITELY read A Thousand Splendid Suns. I think I liked it better than Kite Runner.

I just found your blog and I’m really interested! This is great. When I think of the 50’s I think of that commercial with a stick of butter in the potatoes. I’m excited to read further what you have to say about literature.

I read this book a few weeks ago and loved it! It is a big book physically, but Kay is right – it’s a quick read. Because it doesn’t really have chapters, I just kept reading … and reading … and reading.
